*ASUU STRIKE*: *OOU ASUU JOINS INDUSTRIAL ACTION*
• *University to Resume 23rd of March*
• *_UNILORIN joins Strike for the first time in 20years_*
In line with the directive of the National Committee of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU to embark on a 2weeks Warning strike over the Integrated Personnel and Payroll System, (IPPIS), the Olabisi Onabanjo University Chapter has swing in its full support.
Dr. Joel Okewale, the OOU ASUU chairman who had earlier in an interview with the PUNCH stated that "the institution don't operate in isolation", hinting a possibility of its members joining the Industrial Action.
Speaking with Campus Mirror, this Morning, the Dean, Students Affairs, Dr, Oladunjoye commented
" *the University will join Today*".
This development has also been confirmed as an Emergency Meeting was held today, Wednesday, 11th, March, 2020, to formally inform the Public.
The University Resumption date has therefore been shifted to Monday, 23rd March, 2020.
Meanwhile, the University of Ilorin has also joined in the Strike Action, after 20years of boycotting the National ASUU Body's Decision. A development which has also disrupted the institution's 1st Semester Examinations.
